ABOUT BIOPSYCHOSOCIAL THERAPY TEAM

BioPsychoSocial Therapy Team is a nongovernmental organized group of professionals from various disciplines that are connected with mental health and child development with passion for the treatment of children and family members with psychosocial challenges. The group hold unto the ideal that any psychological or developmental health issue is rooted from biological, psychological, and social domains of an individual’s  life and as such approaching it with that mind set in the strength of an organize team of professionals and the social group surrounding a client shall yield a faster and better result. The team members are mostly from psychology, education, Rehabilitation sciences, medical sciences and other related disciplines. Then family members and other social groups are carried along depending on the nature of the case. The team views psychological issues affecting children and family members as challenges that tend to deprived individuals from full expression of innate ability, thus called for effortful challenge from a competent team of professionals employing evidence based approach to challenge disorders such as

 

  • Autism spectrum disorder
  • Attention deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
  • Speech/ language disorders
  • Intellectual developmental disorders
  • Specific learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia), and other childhood disorders
  • Psychosomatic disorders affecting adults
  • Other emotional challenges in adulthood

 That is while the watch word of the team is CHALLENGING PSYCHOSOCIAL CHALLENGES.

 

 

VISION

1. Treatment of childhood disorders employing scientific approved methods that are relevant for each individual case, considering the uniqueness of symptoms manifesting by the child and the uniqueness of the child life.

2. Treatment of psychological disorders affecting family members with the view that what affect the child affect the family and what affect a parent affect a parent affect the child.

3. Conducting and publication of researchers that can enhance effective intervention in individual psychosocial challenges.

4. To inculcate high professional skills in professionals and manners of working as a team with family members and other social group to challenge any psychological challenge of a client.

5. Building up skills in client with developmental challenges influencing their proper integration into the general society.

6. Creating avenues for divine intervention in client psychosocial challenges, with the concept that God heals.

7. Enlightening the general public of psychological challenges that tend to hinder the expression of full potentials and living a fulfilled life and a way out of these challenges for both children and family members.

8. To create a mechanism that can enhance low cost of therapy for Childhood disorders.

 

MISSION

1. Comprehensive assessment of clients for diagnostic purpose designing of deal intervention plan and referral

2. Intensive evidence based treatment of clients employing different therapeutic techniques that are for relieving or illuminating specific or group of symptoms.

3. Working with couples, family members, schools and other social group as a single team to challenge any psychological challenge facing the group or a member of the group.

4. Making awareness of childhood disorders, and disorders common in adulthood. And advocating for clients with psychological health challenges

5. Building skills in the lives of client with neurodevelopmental disorders and enhancing their integration into the general society.
